Collectors and enthusiasts, your attention please! The Dupuis company offer a first assembly of the “Buck Danny” short stories published in the Risque-Tout and Spirou magazines from 1946 to 1969.

Dive in the nostalgia of the first story created by the duo Charlier-Hubinon “L’agonie du Bismarck”, brought to life with a new lettering. Watch the documentary “Pilote de tourisme” but also “Duel dans le ciel” where Buck confronts Colonel Ramirez during a demonstration of the F-84F Thunderstreak in San Bolivar.

Remember how Buck saves the Seetoya base dam in “Mission spéciale” and prevents bandits from taking the Convair B-36 Peacemaker in “On a volé un prototype”. Did you know that “Vétéran de l’USAF ” was the first draft of Spirou’s “Mini-Tales”? It marked the beginning of a new format used to entertain the newspaper’s readers.

Finally, find “Une incroyable histoire” with the appearance of the lazy and accident-prone office junior, Gaston Lagaffe, at the controls of a Grumman F-11 Tiger, and “Prototype X-6432589”.

Jean-Michel Charlier and Victor Hubinon: a successful duo

Bernard L. Thouanel, documentary filmmaker and friend of Buck Danny’s creators, presents portraits of Jean-Michel Charlier and Victor Hubinon. He enlightens us on the friendship that bound these two men and their collaboration through moving photos. Several anecdotes are recounted, such as the obtaining of their pilot’s license and the amusing adventures experienced by Victor Hubinon.
